The Egyptian coach Mohamed Zakaria Mido is considered one of the names that has built a distinctive path in the world of football, both as a professional player and as a coach specializing in developing young talents. He has extensive experience spanning several countries and diverse experiences, which has given him a broad vision of modern football and a deep understanding of the needs of players at different age levels.
Mohamed Zakaria Mido’s journey began in Egyptian football, where he played for El Mansoura Club between 1998 and 2001, a stage that formed the foundation of his playing career. He then moved to Kahraba Talkha Club from 2002 to 2006, continuing to develop his skills and experience in Egyptian football. With his ambition to reach a higher level, he had an important international experience when he played for Woodlands Wellington FC in Singapore between 2008 and 2009, a period that added a lot to his career by exposing him to different football schools and playing styles.
His professional career did not stop there, as he later moved to the United States in 2010, where he played for Miami FC, experiencing a completely different football environment. This helped him broaden his understanding of the game at an international level and develop his perspective as a professional player.
After retiring as a player, Mohamed Zakaria Mido turned to coaching, starting a new journey in developing players and football academies, especially in Singapore. He worked as a head coach at United World College, served as technical director at Euro Soccer Academy, and also participated in coaching the elementary football program at the Singapore American School (SAS). In addition, he worked with the International Football Academy, reflecting his extensive experience in working with different age groups.
He holds strong academic qualifications, including a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Mansoura University in 2002, as well as coaching licenses from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Mido’s coaching philosophy focuses on developing individual skills, building discipline within the team, and enhancing teamwork among players. He is also committed to creating a positive training environment that helps discover and refine talents to reach the highest levels of performance.
